The gentler weather brings hope and potential. A time to let go of the things that don’t serve you. I hope this spring ignites your desire to let go, renew and refresh.

Today is my 43rd birthday. This isn’t a milesto

Today is my 43rd birthday. This isn’t a milestone birthday but for me it is. It’s amazing how much can shift in a year. The last year, without a doubt, has been the most challenging year of my life. I’ve learned A LOT about myself. Lessons that can only be learned and understood through layers of pain and suffering, acceptance and change.

As I turn the page into a new year of my life, I reflect on some of the most transformative, raw, difficult and perspective-changing lessons I’ve learned in the last year. Starting with…..

Stop caring what others think.
.
It’s ok to say no. NO, NO, NO!!!
.
Regret is more painful than fear.
.
Procrastination can be a form of intuition.
.
It takes courage to accept you are broken.
.
Failure is the most effective path to success.
.
Endings are really new beginnings in disguise.
.
Gratitude, forgiveness and love will get you through. AMEN!
.
Everything is progress so fuck the to do list. Goodbye sticky notes.
.
Boundaries are everything. Love and honour yourself first. Know your worth.
.
The stress of trying to be perfect isn’t worth it. There are gifts to imperfection.
.
It will be all OK! Patience, pain, time and persistence will be worth it. So worth it!

I have a voice and it matters. People are actually listening and want to hear what I have to say. Who knew!

Everything really does happen for a reason. Let the universe do it’s thing. There is a plan, sometimes you have let it happen.

There is power with leading from your heart. By connecting within, by listening to you hearts wisdom, we gain clarity and with clarity comes choice. Always start in the heart.

I am grateful that I’ve found ways to set the pain and vulnerability aside to connect to my true self that lives within. I’ve worked hard to get myself to this place and I have to reinforce these blessings on a daily basis.

And I am endlessly grateful for all of the loving, supportive people in my life. Thank you!

I’m a lover of love. I am in love with true love. I see the world through rose coloured glasses and I believe that love is the most beautiful thing on earth and that love can save all. There is so much magic in loving. I love hard and I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am loyal and committed to always finding ways to LOVE MORE.

They say chivalry is dead. NOPE, not for this girl! I believe in it ALL, fairy tales, sappy love songs and cheesy romantics movies…I dream to be romanced with sweet simple things and thoughtful surprises.

I am a hopeless romantic. Except, there is nothing hopeless about it.

I’ve discovered love, felt love, given and received love and it feels incredible. They say hopeless romantics are few and far between these days. We are like hidden gems, diamonds in the rough. So, if you are ever lucky in love and come across a hopeless romantic, scoop them up.

I remain in love, forever with hope. Hope that chivalry isn’t dead and that there are other hopeless romantics out there.

♥️ Sweet romantic gestures that tug at my heart strings: Fresh flowers for the win. Tulips or Gerber Daisy’s. Purchased locally, even better! Know how to make my coffee and have it ready and waiting for our morning snuggles while we watch Sport Centre highlights. Hide a love note. Light a candle. Dance with me in the kitchen when that perfect love song comes on and don’t forget those precious forehead kisses. Never walk away without a kiss goodbye. If you could make the bed and get the pillow placement right that’s a bonus lol.

♥️ Favorite romantic thing to do: cozying up and watching hockey after cooking a nice meal together. Yup, just a simple gal!
